This is the fourth mini-towel created in collaboration with Kodue Hibino and various locations throughout Japan.

In February 2024, we produced a dance performance at the Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival in Kawazu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture. This towel was created as a result of that relationship.

The entire surface of the towel is designed with large dark pink petals unique to Kawazu cherry blossoms.

In addition, the Loop Bridge, the symbol of Kawazu Town, and the Mine Onsen Grand Tumulus Park are subtly depicted among the cherry blossoms in embroidery.

This towel handkerchief was created through a relationship with Kawazu Town, famous for its Kawazu Cherry Blossoms. Kawazu cherries are a gorgeous pink color and bloom to fill both banks of the river, with petals flowing down the surface of the river to the sea. The embroidery depicts the uniquely shaped loop bridge and the Mine Onsen Taiyuyu Park. (Kodue Hibino)

What is Kawazu-zakura?
Kawazu-zakura is an early-blooming cherry tree that begins to bloom in early February and was discovered in Kawazu-cho in 1972. Taking advantage of Izu's mild climate and early-blooming characteristics, they come into full bloom after about a month. (Quoted from the website of Kawazu Tourist Association)
